A society where mothers living in places with inadequate
maternal and child support systems can have an online 'nest'
where they feel they belong
Creating a future where all mothers in the world can give
birth and raise children with peace of mind through the 'nest'
The first time I visited Tanzania was in January
2020.
At that time, I was working for a company I joined
as a new graduate and was responsible for a
project to develop an educational app for
Tanzanian midwives.
It was then that I learned for the first time that
women in Tanzania become mothers with much higher
risks and anxieties than in Japan.
As I traveled frequently to Tanzania, I became
more acutely aware of the poverty and fragility of
this country.
Maternal and infant mortality is caused by various
factors, such as the quality of medical care,
infrastructure, education, culture, and customs.
There is no end to listing them.
I am not a healthcare worker, nor can I build
roads or provide electricity.
However, I can create a 'nest' for mothers through
a smartphone app.
I want to create a future where mothers can spend
their pregnancy life with peace of mind, give
birth, and raise children through the 'nest'.
Starting
from Tanzania, I want to expand the 'nest' to all
mothers in Africa and Asia who share the same
concerns.
With this thought in mind, I founded MomNest.
We can start this business thanks to the warm
support of all our supporters.
If tens of thousands of mothers participate in the
'nest', business opportunities will also arise.
In the future, we aim to establish a sustainable
operational system locally and expand our
activities globally.
We appreciate your continued support.
